Having finalized our themes, we came up with a strategy to work on the themes identified, following two key messages that will guide our framing for the video. We first seeked for the participants’ opinions on how they want to film the video, the issues that they would like to highlight about as well as discussing together with them on how we could frame and film the video with different participants’ inputs. Thereafter, we discussed on how the video should flow to highlight some of the key issues we have. Some participants were very happy and excited for the filming, wanting to dress up and appear nice in front of the camera. They were very accommodating and open to our requests even though the process might take up quite a bit of their time.

Even though the process of combining the ideas from different participants is tough, arranging for a suitable timing for the filming and having to ensure a linkage between the videos, the interaction with the participants during the process makes it an enjoyable and worthwhile process. Seeing how the participants opened up to us as time passes, enjoying the time spent with us and having a meal together after the film, is the most memorable and satisfying feeling out of this project. Having done 2 days of filming, we’re excited to see how the final product would look like!
